Dr. Suraj Hegde, founder of Dr. Hegde’s Dental Speciality Clinic, did his early schooling in Bangalore, Karnataka, India and later joined Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala – a residential school in Mysore, Karnataka, India which is known for its all round disciplined education.
After his pre university at Mysore he joined the most prestigeous SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, India where he learnt the skills of dentistry both academically and clinically. He joined A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, Karnataka, India as a tutor and worked in three rural satellite clinics at Kundapur and also at few private dental clinics where he achieved vast experience in managing the patients and at the same time teaching the house surgeons. He later on started his own private practice at Karwar, Karnataka, India in the year 1998 and since then he has won a lot of appreciations and laurels from his patients.

Few months back I could eat only soft food due to lose of teeth and managing balance diet was difficult. Conventional denture was not of much help and my jaw bone density was not very good either.The dental surgery I underwent at Dr. Suraj Hegde’s clinic to get my implant based denture has been a sucess. It was entirely his doing. Now at the age of 68, I can eat and enjoy even raw almonds.The dental surgery done by Dr. Suraj has been a life changing event in my case and it means much more than just saying “Thank You” to Dr. Suraj and his team.

This is best dental clinic i have visited so far. Compared to one’s even in Mumbai. It’s very spacious and has state of the art equipments and Dr. Hegde is very experienced and gentle. Highly recommended for any dental treatments.
Quality care provided by Dr. Hegde. Never compromises on anything. He has his own OPG machine (dental X-rays), so no need to run around the city and further delay treatment. Good dental clinic,good staff and professional doctors, but the doctor must also hear what patients are trying to tell him.our family go to hegde dental clinic from last 20yrs for any dental work and never been a issue until now,the clinic brings the artificial teeth from lab made from outside karwar and the quality of the fitting are not so good like what it used to be long time before.doctor must see what has happened instead of telling all excuses rudely so that we dont have word to say anything. Todays world is modern doctor and all the information is available on internet about human teeth and i know most of the things because i have studied and im a medical officer,patients come at your clinic because they trust you doctor and just because you have dentist degree and 25yrs experience and people dont have that doesnt mean that you will not hear what we are trying to tell and instead speak rudely.Doctor must check the quality of the artificial teeth which are provided from the labs instead of rudely trying to ignore the facts and simply blame on patients and i dont think it is worth the price we are paying for the poor quality teeth we are provided.
I visited Dr Hegde’s clinic recently because of a dental disaster I had while in Pantem (South Goa). I was told of Dr Hegde’s clinic by a friend who took me there. The treatment that followed was incredibly smooth and easy. Dr Hegde explained what he needed to do, and his team was just as efficient. The aftercare has also been wonderful. Since I suffer from dental woes, I have experiences of several dentists in different cities, but I never knew that I would find a wonderful doctor in Karwar town!
